Recognising and celebrating the achievement of a key stakeholder in logistics

By Freight Tiger News Desk/2 minutes read

The recently held Driver’s Day Utsav has been one of our most humbling and gratifying projects.

Since Freight Tiger’s founding, our mission as a company has been to simplify and improve the lives of every stakeholder in the logistics supply chain.

An indispensable part of the logistics industry is the drivers. In order to commemorate the driver community and celebrate their achievements, we partnered with our customer Saint Gobain Gyproc India and TransportMitra a platform dedicated to driver welfare, for the second year for Driver’s Day Utsav. This year we hosted the program in two of Saint-Gobain Gyproc’s plants and held health checkups, sessions on road safety, hygiene, destressing techniques, yoga and more. This event was a step towards making better efforts to do more for the Drivers, the lifeblood of our industry.

It also served as a snapshot of the kind of work we intend to do as a company for the driver community across India in partnership with our customers.

A few programs we are facilitating already, include:

  • Smart Driver Program Module: Includes road safety awareness, first aid, seasonal driving tips, and emergency care training.
  • Health Risk Assessment: This assessment is designed to deliver preventive and chronic care solutions.
  • Driver Engagement and Transformation Program: Ongoing program that aims to bring long-term changes in driver behavior.
  • Dhaba Adoption Program: To make available basic amenities such as toilets and beds, and hygienic food with co-branding interiors of the Dhaba.

Initiatives like this allow us to have improved access to the driver community. We believe that industry-wide participation and initiation of such campaigns for our most valuable stakeholders – the drivers –  can help us increase the supply of well-trained drivers in the industry for ensuring sustainable growth.
